Ranch Simulator – First impressions with early access: Build your own ranch with peace of mind #1

Ranch Simulator is the new simulation title developed by Toxic Dog and published by Excalibur Games available for PC on Steam in Early Access. We at Nerd’s Bay have had the opportunity to play it in early access. The first impressions are not bad despite being a title still in development. The version we are playing in addition to the classic language options such as English, Russian, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish also supports Italian.

Ranch Simulator what it offers you:

Story: It used to be your grandfather’s pride and joy, but your family ranch is going through a difficult time and it’s up to you to change that. Located in a remote wooded valley, the dilapidated farm will test all your skills as you try to turn it into the most prosperous ranch in the region, alone or in cooperative multiplayer for up to four players.

Rebuild your ranch: The years have not been kind to your family ranch and it will take time and money to restore it to its former glory. Buy tools from the local hardware store and purchase a range of vehicles from the garage to help you with your rebuilding projects. Renovate the main house, decide what livestock you want to raise, and build the barns, corrals, and fences you’ll need to keep them safe.

Take care of your livestock: Big construction projects are one thing. Paying for them? It depends on your livestock skills. Supervising a profitable operation is about the day-to-day. Once you’ve selected and hired livestock, regular feeding and watering will keep them healthy. Successful breeding and careful rearing of young will help increase the number of herds and flocks – and the more products you have to sell, the more income you’ll receive for all that hard work.

Go hunting: There’s a large open-world environment outside your cozy farm and it’s teeming with wildlife. So when you feel like slowing down the pace, why not grab your trusty rifle and head into the forest to hunt deer and hunt bear? But remember, the wilderness lives by its own laws and you’re not the only skilled hunter in the neighborhood. Sometimes your steady hand and sharp eyes will be needed even on the ranch to stop the hungry wolves that turn your dream off the grid into a nightmare.

Gameplay Ranch Simulator

Ranch Simulator also provides co-op multiplayer, surely a faster way to have fun and do “chores” inside the ranch instead of alone. Finally, you have the possibility to change the camera between a third-person and a first-person view, both for walking and driving. The latter should definitely be improved as they are woody and cumbersome and in the long run can only create discomfort.
